College Farm is a medieval family home situated in the village of Thompson three miles from the market town of Watton. College Farm has 3 double bedrooms, all with private or ensuite bathrooms and is ideally situated as a base for touring Norfolk as well as Norwich, Cambridge and Ely. Thompson is a convenient stop over for those walking or riding 'Peddars Way' or the Pingo Trail (a feature left from the last Ice Age). We can offer overnight accommodation for horses in our paddock.
College Farm Bed & Breakfast was started in the 1970s by Katharine’s parents, William & Lavender Garnier. When William retired from the army they returned to Norfolk and settled in Thompson, the village next to Merton where Lavender’s family has lived since 1300, and close to Tottington, in the Battle Area, where Lavender grew up and where William spent most of his childhood.
Katharine ran Telford Park B&B in south London for over 20 years. After Lavender's death in 2010 Katharine and her family moved to Thompson and now run College Farm Bed & Breakfast.
